What is Freemasonry?

Freemasonry consists of fraternal organizations both here in America and throughout many countries. They trace all the way back to the Stonemasons. At the end of the 14th century they regulated qualifications of Stonemasons. Modern masonry consists of two main recognition groups……Regular Freemasonry and Continental Freemasonry. Many famous people have been Freemasons which I will show you some of them at the end.

The Masonic Lodge………………………..

This is a basic organizational unit of Freemasonry where they meet regularly to have their rituals. This consists of Degree Ceremonies where candidates are initiated.

This is a post collegiate fraternity dedicated to Spiritual Developement of the initiate into a broader sense of self.

They bring together individuals of all countries and religious sects. They are a Universal Brotherhood. They are considered a Philosophical Organization emphasizing the study of Moral Symbols.

Freemason Logo Now this symbol goes back to King Solomon. They used his pyramid as a pattern to get this symbol.

Samuel Adams…….3rd Govenor of Arkansas

William Hamilton Anderson………American Prohibitionist

Will C Barnes……….received the Medal of Honor for bravery at the Battle of Fort Apache

Joshua Barney……American Naval Officer
